About Chad N. Stasik, M.D.

Dr. Stasik earned his undergraduate and medical school degrees from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 2001 and 2005, respectively. He then completed his general surgery residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, and his cardiothoracic surgery residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. He completed an additional fellowship in aortic and endovascular surgery at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, before returning to the faculty at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.

After 5 years as an Assistant Professor and Associate Director of the cardiothoracic surgery residency training program, as well as as Surgical Director of the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) program and director of the South Texas Aortic Center, he spent three years in practice in southeast Missouri. He returned to San Antonio and joined South Texas Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgical Associates in 2020.

Dr. Stasik is Board Certified in Surgery and Thoracic Surgery. He performs all aspects of cardiac and thoracic surgery, with a particular interest in aortic valve replacement and repair, TAVR, surgical revascularization for coronary artery disease (CABG surgery), aortic aneurysm surgery, and surgical treatment for atrial fibrillation. He also performs minimally invasive robotic resections for cancer and other diseases of the lungs and mediastinum.
